| Welcome to SLMTP! Thank you for allowing us to share a moment of your time to briefly explain the vision of our organization, as well as our mission to accomplish it.
The goal for SLMTP's music ministry is to stage at least two theatrical productions per year. For the year 2004, we staged The Song of Songs at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in March and returned in September to debut A Whale of a Tale, a musical comedy based on the story of Jonah. All of our Broadway-caliber musicals are original. We have an ongoing relationship with acclaimed Tampa Bay composer Stephan Scott Lay. Mr. Lay has a true gift rarely seen in this industry. Not only does he write the books, lyrics and music for each of our productions, he also directs them and usually plays a lead role. His multi-faceted talents and abilities lend themselves to his prodigious creativity and his extraordinary vision for combining Biblical truths with musical theater. We are fortunate to have found this special niche in theater. We have big plans and a bright future ahead! Thank you for visiting .
